By the time most of the country is still trying to break out of winter, Florida will have already started the spring riding season. That’s the perfect excuse to head over to Daytona Beach for the world-famous Bike Week.

This year’s event, taking place on March 1-10, marks the 83rd anniversary of the Daytona Beach Bike Week. As always, the 10-day rally will be packed chock-full of rides, vendors, shows, music, and a whole lot more.

We can’t list every activity that happens during the week, but we can give you the highlights.

The Bike Week kicks off with the traditional Jam On Productions parts swap. If you’ve been looking for a component for your motorcycle, there’s a high chance you’ll find it here. Just remember—the swap is on Tomoka Farm Rd, not North Tomoka Farms Rd.

On March 2, you can go get in some speed at the Daytona Supercross. Part of the AMA Supercross series, this thrilling race takes place at the Daytona International Speedway.

If your racing preference leans more toward asphalt than dirt, the MotoAmerica Weekend will be more your speed. Happening on March 7-9, the races include the historic 82nd Daytona 200, the King of the Baggers, and the opening round of the Twins Cup Championships.

Throughout the 10 days, there will also be daily stunt shows, more swap meets, bike shows… Just check out the event calendar for more details.

But you’re not going to Daytona Beach just to watch others ride. Daytona Beach makes for a wonderful gateway for heading out on some of the best rides in Florida with the new friends you’ll meet.

The scenic US 1 and SR A1A flow right past the pristine beaches and make for great seaside riding in both north and southbound directions. They’ll also take you to The Loop to for a more earthy ride under Spanish moss-covered live oaks.

Another great ride option is to hit the 70-mile Lucky Ride from Daytona Beach down to Lake Monroe and back. The ride begins at and returns to the Daytona Beach Racing & Card Club, so why not try your luck with some cards after the ride?
