Slay the Dragon on US 129

Few roads in the world are as famous—or infamous—as US 129, better known to motorcyclists as the Tail of the Dragon. Straddling the border between Tennessee and North Carolina, this 11-mile stretch through the mountains packs a jaw-dropping 318 curves into its short distance.

Riders flock from all over the globe to test their skills on this ribbon of asphalt, where knee-dragging switchbacks, blind curves, and steep grades deliver an adrenaline rush like no other.

Originally a Native American trading route, the road remained largely untouched until paved for modern use. Today, it’s one of America’s most iconic motorcycle roads, often featured in magazines and countless GoPro highlight reels.

It’s considered  by many to be one of the most challenging roads in the U.S., and is near the top of every rider's bucket list.

But the Dragon demands respect. Its tight corners leave no room for error.
