Explore the Northern Rainforests—Olympic Peninsula Loop

The Olympic Peninsula in Washington State marks the most northwestern reaches of the contiguous U.S. It sports some of the most majestic sights in the country, from the rocky seaside to tranquil mountaintops and the depths of the rainforests.

It comes as a surprise to some, but many of the forests in this region count as rainforests. The Olympic Peninsula loop lets you see all of this—and even more.

The nearly 350-mile loop follows US 101 on the western, northern, and eastern sides of the peninsula. This paved two-lane road cuts through dense forests and zips by sandy beaches, making this calm ride doable on virtually any motorcycle.

That said, you can easily make detours onto both paved sideroads and gravel tracks off US 101. One of the greatest things about the Olympic Peninsula is that caters to motorcyclists of all kinds.
