Indian Expands Scout Lineup with 2026 Sport Scout RT

Indian Motorcycle has started unveiling its 2026 motorcycle catalog with a new addition to the Scout lineup. The 2026 Indian Sport Scout RT aims to introduce more performance and aggression to the family.

This new Scout features a more modern design, with color-matched fenders and a quarter fairing, alongside new graphics. The handlebar features 5.5-inch gloss-black risers for a more leaned-back riding position.

Adding to the cruiser spirit and ergonomics, the bike comes with machined triple clamps and different grips. The sport solo seat with a 25.7-inch height features lower back support for long rides.

Perhaps as the most immediately noticeable addition, the Sport Scout RT comes standard with locking hard saddlebags. The waterproof bags provide 10 gallons of storage space.

These additions raise the bike’s wet weight by about 20 pounds to 568 pounds.

The Sport Scout RT is powered by the same 1250cc liquid-cooled V-twin powerplant as its parent model, generating 105 claimed horsepower and 82 lb-ft of torque. The brake and suspension components are also identical, consisting of 298mm rotors with a two-piston caliper up front and single piston out back, and a 41mm telescopic fork (4.7 travel inches) and dual rear shocks (3 inches of travel).

Coming in Black Smoke, Chalk, or Sunset Red Metallic colorways, the 2026 Sport Scout RT is available only in the Limited +Tech trim. The MSRP is listed at $16,999.

New Colors and Graphics Across Range

In addition to the Sport Scout RT, Indian announced a slew of color and graphics updates for the rest of its PowerPlus range. These include:

• 101 Scout, Challenger, and Chieftain PowerPlus are available in Black Crystal/Super Graphite with Championship Gold accents.
• Challenger, Chief, Chieftain, Chieftain PowerPlus, Pursuit, Roadmaster PowerPlus, and Scout Classic are available in Deep Blue Metallic.
• Challenger, Pursuit, Roadmaster PowerPlus, and Super Chief are available in Chalk.
• Sport Chief comes in Indy Red.
• Pursuit and RoadMaster PowerPlus are available in Cascade Green Metallic.
• RoadMaster has an option for Deep Blue Metallic with Silver Quartz Metallic.

Additionally, Chief Dark Horse, Sport Chief, Super Chief Limited, and Super Chief Dark Horse also received refreshed tank graphics.
