Can-Am Reveals Updated Three-Wheel Lineup for 2027

Can-Am’s line of three-wheelers has become popular among riders who can’t or don’t want to ride two-wheeled motorcycles, bringing the joy of riding a wider swathe of the population. For 2027, the brand is updating its three-wheel lineup with changes both big and small.

The most significant changes focus on the entry-level Ryker model, which receives major upgrades to its engine and chassis. In the rest of the lineup, the updates are mostly cosmetic, with a small tweak here and there.

2027 Can-Am Ryker

For 2027, Can-Am offers the Ryker in three trims, or "packages," as the manufacturer calls them. The standard caters to riders new to three-wheelers (or motorcycling in general), the Ryker Sport adds more performance, and the Ryker Special Series is a one-year-only limited edition of the machine (more on this later).

With the standard trim, the largest update is in the engine, with Can-Am’s new 52-hp Rotax 900 ACE three-cylinder powerplant replacing the outgoing 600cc twin. Can-Am promises the new engine keeps the entry-level three-wheeler approachable while introducing more low-end torque, lower vibration, and quieter performance. The Sport and Special Series are both powered by the uptuned 80-hp version of the engine.

All models have received an updated, more rigid chassis with a reinforced steering system, a recalibrated Vehicle Stability System (VSS), and fine-tuned aerodynamics. According to the manufacturer, these changes have resulted in improved handling across the range.

Additionally, Can-Am has given each Ryker a new five-inch color display and handlebar controls for enhanced access to the vehicles’ adjustments. The exteriors also sport reshaped body panels, redesigned wheels, and a new LED headlight.

Finally, the Ryker Special Series is a trim level slated to be available only in the 2027 model year. It retains the Ryker Sport’s performance while adding premium bits, such as exclusive body panels, dedicated wrap kits, Liquid Titanium wheel finishes, premium suspension components, a unique seat treatment, and an Akrapovič exhaust.

2027 Can-Am Spyder and Canyon Models

The rest of the Can-Am three-wheeler lineup sees mostly cosmetic updates. The 2027 Can-Am Spyder F3 (the lineup’s cruiser model) and RT Sea-to-Sky (the touring machine) get a new Dolomite Gray paint scheme. 

Meanwhile, the uptrim F3-S also gets a new Liquid Titanium frame and trim treatment and Monolith Black Satin bodywork. For the premium Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky touring model, Can-Am has added tire pressure monitoring, new seat materials, and branded front and rear travel bags. The Spyder Canyon all-road adventure machine has received a new Sandstone paint option.

All Can-Am three-wheelers with the larger 10.25-inch display now support the BRP Go! On-Road Navigation application, available on Android and iOS devices. The app offers turn-by-turn navigation, route planning, and rider tracking functionality, among other features.
