2024 Harley-Davidson Lineup: Glides and CVOs

Harley-Davidson has produced enough classic motorcycles that it could probably never again introduce anything new and still be perfectly fine. Yet, the Motor Company isn’t resting on its laurels and has announced some significant updates.

The 2024 Harley-Davidson Street Glide and Road Glide models have received a fairly comprehensive revamp, from their styling to the engine and electronics. As a whole new addition to the stable, we get the 2024 CVO Road Glide ST, which promises to be lighter, faster, and stronger than most anything the Motor Company has made. The Pan America also joins the CVO line with a new version, and the CVO Street and Road Glides haven’t been forgotten, either.

2024 Street Glide and Road Glide

The updated standard Street and Road Glides are still unmistakably Harley-Davidsons but with a more modern touch. The manufacturer has upgraded the general visual style to form a flowing, cohesive look, from the fender to the fairing and the saddlebags. Speaking of the fairing, Harley-Davidson has updated its profile. In addition to looking different, the new aerodynamics are touted to dramatically reduce buffeting at highway speeds.

The Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-twin has also received updates. A new cooling system should keep your legs from getting uncomfortably hot, while a fine-tuned intake/exhaust flow claims to boost performance. In the electronics department, the bikes now boast a 12.3-inch full-color TFT display that replaces all analog instrumentation and most controls (decide for yourself if that’s good or not). The screen is also the gateway to the Skyline OS-powered infotainment system, the new 200-watt amplifier, and four ride modes (Road, Sport, Rain, Custom).

2024 CVO Road Glide ST

The all-new CVO Road Glide ST is what Harley-Davidson considers its “quickest, fastest, and most sophisticated” performance bagger ever. It features an exclusive Milwaukee-Eight 121 High Output engine, which makes 127 ponies and 145 lb-ft of torque—more than any other factory H-D. The ST model weighs only 800 pounds (25 pounds less than the standard CVO Road Glide) due to light alternative materials, so the powerplant has an easier job pushing it along.

For cushioning the fast ride, we get a Showa fork and rear shock, while Brembo brakes bring the speed to a stop. Like the Street and Road Glide, there are scant few analog controls left. With the low, deep seat and elevated handlebar, the bike has that custom style straight from the factory. The CVO Road Glide ST is available in Golden White Pearl and Raven Metallic colorways.

2024 CVO Additions

This year, the surprise hit Pan America becomes the first ADV bike in the CVO line. This exclusive model keeps everything that makes the standard Pan America what it is, but it also gets new accessories for a rugged ride. The CVO additions include adaptive seat height, aluminum top and side cases, the Screamin’ Eagle quickshifter, tubeless laced wheels, an aluminum skidplate, aux lighting… It’s a lot of stuff.

Finally, the Street Glide and Road Glide remain in the 2024 CVO lineup. Nothing changes with these motorcycles in tech, but you get to choose between new color options. And we all know that a different color makes for a practically whole new bike. All of the announced motorcycles are available for purchase at the time of printing.
