Ride in Comfort with a Custom Seat by Corbin

Ride in Comfort with a Custom Seat by Corbin

Every bottom is unique. Even the cushiest and most comfortable stock motorcycle seat can leave you wishing it was a bit firmer, had a smidgen more back support, or simply looked better.

If that sounds like a familiar conundrum, Corbin offers a solution. This veteran-owned motorcycle seat manufacturer has just the right seat for you.

That’s because each of the company’s seats is custom-made.

Corbin, headquartered in Hollister, CA, has been producing motorcycle seats for more than half a century. The story begins with a seat crafted for a Norton Atlas in 1968.

Since then, the company’s catalog has expanded to cover the most popular motorcycle brands, and some that have fallen by the wayside. Corbin covers virtually every motorcycle manufacturer, including (but very much not limited to) BMW, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Indian, Kawasaki, Norton, Royal Enfield, and much more.

With more than 1,400 part numbers available, it’s not a stretch to say that Corbin likely has the most expansive product offering out of any motorcycle seat manufacturer. The firm’s not limited to seats, though, and it also makes accessories, such as saddlebags, and even motorcycle-inspired furniture.

Yet, the seats are the bread and butter at Corbin. Each butt cushion is handcrafted in America, with Corbin’s own proprietary materials and patented manufacturing methods.

Frankly, we don’t and can’t know what magic goes into making a Corbin seat happen. What we do know, however, is that the end result is a high-quality and durable seat made to your exact specifications.

The company offers a smorgasbord of 76 colors and texture materials, from synthetics to genuine leather. As a unique touch, Corbin doesn’t charge extra for any option, so you can freely pick the one that’s right for you.

Of course, material alone doesn’t make a comfortable seat, and the company has plenty of seat models and styles. Whether you ride a classic cruiser, a lightning-fast sportbike, or a rugged adventure machine, you’ll have a slew of options. You can also include various tech solutions, such as heating and cooling, in the seat.

Finally, you can order custom embroidery. Everybody will know the seat is truly yours when it has your name written all over it.

With the company’s online seat configurator tool, you can build your seat in real time. That said, if you can, you should definitely head to the Corbin factory in Hollister for a ride-in, personalized custom saddle service.

A good time to visit would be the Hollister Rally, a motorcycle event Corbin helps organize in the town. While there, grab lunch at the Wizard’s Cafe, a ‘50s-style diner adjoining the factory.

All of this is to say that Corbin and its staff live and breathe motorcycling. Riders seeking tailor-made comfort on the open road can’t do much better than a Corbin seat.

Corbin Seat for BMW R 1300 GSA

Corbin has recently released a newly developed custom seat for the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure. The seat is a two-piece setup that is available in three separate heights—low, standard, and tall. The front and rear seats are interchangeable with the GSA’s OEM components and come with or without heating.

According to riders, the biggest issue with the GSA’s stock front seat is its downward slope, which can make riding uncomfortable in the long run. Corbin has fixed this with a neutralized seating platform, which aims to enhance comfort on long rides.

A backrest is available for the rear seat, but it can be installed only if you aren’t running a topcase. As usual, material, color, and stitching options are available when ordering.

A customized Corbin seat is included in the accessory kit on the 2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, which we’re handing out as part of RoadRUNNER’s 25th-year celebrations. If you haven’t entered the sweepstakes yet, don’t tarry—you can enter for free until July 31, 2025.
