Continental Brings TKC 80 Off-road Tire Back with New Generation
The Continental TKC 80 is one of the best off-road motorcycling tires, but unfortunately it disappeared from the market a few years back. Now, Continental has delighted riders everywhere and announced that the tire is making a comeback.
Continental is bringing the TKC 80 back in a new second-generation construction. The company promises that the new tires provide increased traction in dirt and more performance on the road.
The tire has been redesigned from scratch to suit modern ADV bikes. It features a new tread design that introduces larger blocks that sport additional contact edges.
On the edges, the blocks are spaced in a staggered pattern for more grip on loose surfaces. This design also aims to make the tires self-cleaning, flinging mud and crud out of the tire pattern.
The front tires blocks are sloped downward in the direction of travel for enhanced traction when braking. Meanwhile, the rear tire’s blocks slope in the opposite direction for more acceleration grip.
The second-generation TKC 80 features a new rubber compound that the manufacturer states is tougher and more wear-resistant than before. Continental RainGrip technology improves traction in cold or wet conditions. With a 50/50 on-road/off-road ratio, the new TKC 80 should serve you well wherever the tour takes you.
Continental will introduce the TKC 80 second generation initially in four front and six rear tire sizes. The tires will be available in spring 2026.
