5 Best Motorcycle Boots and Shoes for Riding in 2026
As exciting and fun as motorcycles are, there’s no denying that they do leave your feet vulnerable while riding. A good pair of motorcycle boots is a key part of your riding gear.
However, not all motorcycle boots are made equal. When buying moto boots, you have to consider where, when, and how you’re riding to ensure your footwear keeps you comfortable and protected—both on and off the bike.
Here are five excellent motorcycle boots and shoes for various riding styles to help you find the right pair for your feet.

Sidi Taurus GTX
The Sidi Taurus GTX boots are positioned as premium ADV footwear, and they deliver on that promise. These boots provide strong, all-around protection for the trails (and pavement) while also remaining reasonably comfortable for brief walks off the bike.
Protective TPU panels on the shin, ankle, and top of the foot diminish impacts. The boots also feature a three-point flexible ankle support.
A Gore-Tex membrane offers almost total waterproofing even in a heavy downpour. The Taurus boots are comfortable enough for walking, thanks to the one-hand operable dial closure system, grippy rubber sole, and rigid but not too rigid construction.
You can’t really talk about these boots without mentioning their cool appearance. With their narrow profile and angular protective panels, they have an almost tactical look.
That said, that narrow profile means that the footbed may be too tight for wider feet, even with the dial adjustment. You also probably can’t tuck your pants into the boot.
The Sidi Taurus GTX are top-shelf boots with a top-shelf price tag. They’re worth every penny, though.

REV’IT! Arrow 2 Air
Not every ride requires a bulky, heavy boot. The REV’IT! Arrow 2 Air shoes are made for the urban motorcyclist who needs to get out of the saddle to walk to the office, store, or restaurant.
Outwardly, the Arrow 2 Air is virtually indistinguishable from a regular sneaker. With a stylish suede outer material, they blend in with any casual outfit.
The materials are also flexible and light to keep the shoes comfortable while walking. A side zipper makes the shoes easy to pull on and off.
Yet, they’re not without protection. Ankle discs and heel and toe caps provide a degree of impact resistance. The sole includes a proprietary Flexblade layer that allows the shoe to bend for walking while making it transversally rigid against twisting. Finally, the outer shell is coated with an abrasion-resistant TPU film.
The REVIT’! Arrow 2 Air aren’t robust enough for extended rides, but they aren’t trying to be. They’re designed to protect urban motorcycle commuters’ feet, and that’s what they do.

Sidi Mag-2 Air
Do you enjoy taking supersport or hypersport bikes to track days? The Sidi Mag-2 Air boots are tailor-made for high-speed motorcycling.
The Mag-2 Air’s design draws directly from actual professional race boots. They feature an aerodynamic, rigid outer shell with strategically placed ventilation channels (including an openable toe vent) to guide air around and through the boots for maximum speed and cooling.
The outer shell is clad in high-density protective plates for protection against impacts and abrasion. A high-friction, flat Concreto sole helps with bike contact while delivering feedback directly to your legs.
Sidi has done away with zippers to eliminate structural weak points. Instead, the boots are tightened with a dial closure systems (a more robust version of that found on the Sidi Taurus above), which allows for seamless tightening for safety and comfort.
Being race boots, the Sidi Mag-2 Air are too rigid for walking around. On the track, though, you can roar along without worrying about your feet.

REV’IT! Boundless H2O
Water crossings, pouring rain, mud everywhere… If you’re facing a wet forecast, the REV’IT Boundless H2O boots will keep your feet dry no matter what Mother Nature throws at you.
The boots’ secret lies in the incorporated breathable Hydratex membrane. It allows moisture to seep out while keeping water outside. The result is a boot that stays dry in a deluge without cooking your feet sous vide. However, with the tough leather outer shell, they do admittedly run warm. Fastening happens with a side zipper and a hook-and-loop system.
In the protection department, the Boundless H2O is focused on touring. The boots sport ankle, heel, and toe reinforcement, on top of REV’IT!’s proprietary flexible and impact-resistant SeeSoft ankle discs. There’s also a stiff transversal plate (similar to the Arrow 2 Air shoes) that resists sideways twisting.
The Boundless H2O boots are surprisingly comfortable to walk in. You probably won’t want to hike in them, but they also won’t hinder quick off-bike jaunts.
As mid-height boots with no specific shin protection, the Boundless H2O isn’t suitable for extended ADV riding. Instead, they’re made for long-distance tourers who won’t let pesky things like raging rainstorms stop them.

Sidi Canyon 2 GTX
Classics are classics for a reason. The Sidi Canyon 2 Gore-Tex boots have been around for a while, and they embody the phrase “an oldie but a goldie” in the motorcycling scene.
The Canyon 2, styled after a classic leather riding boot, features a mix of double-stitched leather and nylon for a highly durable, long-lasting exterior. A Gore-Tex layer works to keep the boots watertight, and you only have to worry about them getting wet if you wade into water deeper than the shaft.
Abrasion-resistant Cabrelle lining combines with the tough leather to protect your feet from scrapes and slides. The boots also feature protective elements on the heel, ankle, and toe, alongside a padded shin plate.
Despite the robust protection, the Canyon 2 boots are very walkable. The materials wick moisture from your feet and release it to the outside, making for a shockingly dry and cool ride (at least for your feet).
Whether you’re into weekend cruising, long-distance touring, or even light ADV riding, the Canyon 2 will serve you with distinction. If you’re ever going to buy only one pair of motorcycle boots, make it this one.
