Klim Keeps ADV Riders Dry with New Raptor GTX Jacket and Pants
You can never count on the forecast when riding on the adventure trail. The weather could change unexpectedly and it pays to be prepared. Klim has introduced the new Raptor GTX top layer to keep ADV riders comfortable.
When developing the Raptor GTX Overshell Jacket and Pants, Klim has drawn on the company’s origins as a manufacturer of snowmobile clothes. Building on this experience, they’ve optimized the new jacket and pants for high performance in challenging motorcycling weather.
Both Raptors feature a waterproof three-layer GORE-TEX performance shell to keep water out of your clothes. The jacket also has a storm flap for additional wind and water protection, while the pants sport a waterproof fly gusset.
For protection, the jacket and pants feature Superfabric abrasion-resistant materials on the shoulders, elbows, and knees. This material gives the Raptor GTX suit a CE B-rating according to the EN 17092-5 street abrasion protection standard.
Both the jacket and pants are sized for off-road gear, so they fit effortlessly over body armor without purchasing a larger size. Reflective 3M Scotchlite material offers additional visibility in the dark.
To keep the rider comfortable, Raptor GTX features intake and exhaust vents to allow for cooling airflow. The pants have vents on the thighs, while the jacket has intake vents on the biceps and chest and two vertical back exhaust vents. It also has a collar tab back for increased airflow.
Large pockets on both pieces offer plentiful storage space. The jacket has two zippered hand pockets and two internal chest pockets, and the pants come with two thigh pockets.
The off-road-ready sizing gives the jacket and pants comfort and mobility on and off the saddle. The jacket has a seamless interior and underarm gusset, and a cinch collar, waist straps, and velcro cuffs offer adjustability. The pants feature a comfort waistband, adjustable snap bottom cuffs, and an internal waist belt for consistent tightening.
Both the jacket and pants are available in Asphalt-Hi-Vis and Monument Gray-Asphalt colors. The Raptor GTX Overshell Jacket retails for $649.99 and the Raptor GTX Overshell Pants for $549.99.
