25 Years in the Saddle—Let’s Party!
This year marks 25 years of RoadRUNNER. We’re throwing a party to celebrate a quarter-century of unforgettable rides, stories, and the amazing community that made it all possible—you!
We’re inviting our readers, riders, and industry friends to join us this October 3-5 in Kingsport, TN, for a celebration packed with good food, great riding, and even better company. Think of it as a chance to toast the miles behind us and all the roads ahead.
The Kingsport Area
Nestled in the scenic foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Kingsport, TN, is a hidden gem for motorcycle travelers and outdoor lovers. Located in the heart of the Tri-Cities region, Kingsport offers the perfect mix of Southern charm, rolling backroads, and rugged natural beauty.
The area is rich with history, from early frontier settlements to still-alive Appalachian culture. With its friendly community, vibrant downtown, and proximity to both mountains and music heritage, Kingsport makes the perfect destination to celebrate 25 years of adventure, storytelling, and two-wheeled exploration.
MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center
Our party venue is the MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort & Convention Center, a full-service resort nestled at the foot of Bays Mountain in Kingsport. This scenic property offers spacious, modern rooms, and is packed with amenities perfect for riders.
After a day on the road, unwind with a swim in the indoor pool, a workout in the 24-hour fitness center, or a round at the on-site Cattails Golf Club, an 18-hole course featuring bentgrass greens and stunning views.
On-site dining options include The Meadows Restaurant, which serves locally inspired cuisine, the casual Horse Creek Lounge, and a Starbucks for your morning coffee fix. During the event, we will have a catered dinner (included in the registration fee) Friday and Saturday night.
MeadowView has ample parking for trailers, pet-friendly accommodations, and a relaxed, upscale atmosphere, which is why we chose this location to celebrate the 25 years of RoadRUNNER.
The Riding
The Kingsport area is a dream destination for motorcycle riders, offering some of the most scenic and exhilarating routes in the Appalachians. Each day’s self-guided rides will take you through a landscape of rolling hills, dense forests, and winding mountain roads that trace the banks of the Holston River and climb into the stunning Cherokee National Forest. Whether you're carving through tight twisties or cruising sweeping scenic byways, the terrain here delivers an unforgettable experience.
Riders can tackle legendary routes like The Snake (SR 421) with its 489 curves in 33 miles, or the challenging Back of the Dragon. It’s the kind of riding that reminds you why you fell in love with two wheels in the first place.

At The Event
We are expecting a large group of RoadRUNNER readers to join us. Expect to be surrounded by fellow motorcycle enthusiasts that love to travel and explore new roads as much as you do.
We have a few activities planned, which you won’t want to miss. On Friday evening, join us for a social hour in the lobby bar and an after-dinner presentation from our recent Route 66 tour.
On Saturday afternoon, we will host an open mic Q&A session with RoadRUNNER journalists before a social hour outside by the fire. Then, we’ll gather for our big celebration dinner followed by a fun activity where everyone present will win a prize!
Whether you’ve been with us since our first issue or just joined the RoadRUNNER community, this party is for you. You’ll meet the RoadRUNNER team, get the inside scoop on what we’ve been working on, and find out about our exciting plans for the future. We can’t wait to see you there!
