Humble heroes -Dunlop

Dunlop Motorcycle Tires has launched the Humble Heroes Project, a campaign looking to honor first responders who have gone above and beyond the call of duty during the COVID-19 pandemic.

More specifically, the tire OEM is accepting nominations of healthcare workers and first responders who have excelled during the crisis. Out of the nominees, one lucky winner will be picked to receive a new 2020 Harley-Davidson XL1200 Sportster Roadster motorcycle.

The cafe-racing style bike—to be delivered to the winner in stock condition—features a 1,200cc air-cooled V-twin engine, inverted forks, dual-disc front brakes with floating rotors, and blacked-out stylings, among other goodies.

“Nobody has seen a crisis with the global effects of COVID-19 before, and hopefully nobody ever will again,” said Mike Buckley, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Dunlop.

“Hard to imagine how much worse this could have been without the healthcare heroes and first responders on the front lines every day and night. The Humble Heroes Project is our way of giving a little back and saying thanks for all you have done,” Buckley added.

The OEM accepts nominations until November 15. If you’d like to give an excellent first responder a chance for biking-related thanks, you can do so on the campaign website at www.dunlopheroes.com.

The nominations must include a short essay or video presentation on how the nominee’s actions during the crisis have made them stand above the rest. Further contest rules are available on the website.
