2017 KTM Freeride E-XC

KTM is getting a jump on the electric off-roader market. The company recently announced a pilot program in North America for its Freeride E-XC, an electric version of the Freeride 250R.

The E-XC’s easily removable KTM PowerPack uses a 260V, 2.6 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery that can be fully charged in 80 minutes. The bike has a max power output of 22 hp at 4,500 rpm and three riding modes: Economy, Standard, and Advanced.

Through KTM’s pilot program, the E-XC will be available in limited quantities and sold exclusively through select U.S. dealers that have been certified through KTM’s high voltage technical training in order to service this new technology.

The 2017 Freeride E-XC’s MSRP is $8,299. Motorcycles are now arriving in limited quantities at the following select authorized KTM dealers:

  • Moto City KTM, Avondale, AZ
  • 3 Bros KTM of Orange County, Costa Mesa, CA
  • CJ KTM of Murrieta, Murrieta, CA
  • KTM of Roseville, Roseville, CA
  • Malcolm Smith Motorsports, Riverside, CA
