Bates Adrenaline Boot

It might be a new name in the motorcycling world, but Bates, a division of Wolverine Worldwide, has been making footwear for military, public safety, and industrial use since 1885. It wasn’t until early 2015 that they entered the motorcycling world. By combining everything they’ve learned over the years, the company should make a stellar moto boot. And they do.

Bates’ introductory footwear offering is split into two groups: Speed and Street. A waterproof membrane, oil- and slip-resistant rubber sole, molded heel protection and toe shift area, Poron XRD impact foam around the ankles, and an all-leather exterior are just some of the features that make up the Adrenaline, part of the Speed line of boots. Not quite low and not tall, the Adrenaline—like Bates’ entire current lineup—sits at medium height. The laces are strong and provide a close fit, even if they take a little longer to lace up. There’s enough protection for riding while offering superior comfort for walking. Perfect for those mid-ride hikes to see that waterfall.
