The 48 for 22 RideCombating PTSD by Visiting the Lower 48 –

According to the non-profit organization 22 Needs a Face, 22 United States military veterans attempt to take their own lives every day due to the crippling effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). From September 19 through October 3 three members of the Desert Knights of America Motorcycle Club will ride across the country to raise awareness and funds to combat this frightening reality. During the ride’s 15-day duration the riders will visit each of the lower 48 states. All proceeds will be donated directly to 22 Needs a Face. The non-profit’s goals are to give vets a place of belonging and camaraderie like they had while in the service, to educate the public on the affects and treatment of PTSD, and to support legislation that will increase opportunities for those suffering from the illness.
