Arkansas has many curvy roads, including its very own version of the Tail of the Dragon, which snakes through the scenic Ozark Mountains in the northern part of the state.

Scenery: This route weaves through heavily forested mountainous terrain with beautiful vistas, but riders are advised to focus primarily on the serpentine roadway—it can bite you!

Curves: Sweepers, switchbacks, and hairpins arrive in rapid succession.

Services: Little to none; gas up before you go.

Traffic: Arkansas is lightly populated, particularly in the area traversed by this route. Consequently, car traffic is almost always light, but be on the lookout for slow-moving local traffic, wildlife, and ATVs on the roadway.

Distance: Approximately 54 miles, but the most challenging section of the route is around 19 miles.

Time Required:1.5 to 2 hours

Technical Difficulty: Technically challenging, this route is for experienced riders. Avoid any temptation to clip curves by crossing the yellow line. Also, locals do not appreciate high rates of speed on their everyday roads.
