Yamaha Celebrates Racing Champs, Supports Kids in NeedYamaha Motor Corp. USA has had a good 2014. The company has introduced a number of new and updated models to the U.S. market to strong sales and rave reviews as well as achieving much success on the racetrack. At Yamaha USA’s annual Star Touring And Riding event, the company celebrated by inducting 11 current and former racers into Yamaha’s Racing Wall of Champions. But the December 5th event at Cypress, CA, headquarters wasn’t just about honoring racers. For years Yamaha has used a thoughtful incentive to get customers to fill out a satisfaction survey after purchasing a Yamaha motorcycle, ATV, side-by-side, snow mobile, or generator; for each survey filled out the company makes a donation to Feed the Children (FTC), a charity dedicated to fighting child hunger. In 2014, through a combination of the survey program, employee donations, and dealer fundraisers, $82,000 was raised for the non-profit.

Jessica Webb, Feed the Children’s representative, received a check at the S.T.A.R. event and replied, “Yamaha has maintained a major commitment to Feed the Children from California to Georgia, and we again thank the company and its employees for their ongoing efforts. Thanks to Yamaha for supporting our local community especially as we head into the holidays.”

Over the past 20 years Yamaha has contributed over $5 million in cash and supplies to FTC.
