2016 Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F ABSApparently it’s not too early to introduce 2016 models, even though it isn’t even 2015 yet. At least Suzuki thinks so with the unveiling of the new GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F naked and sport-touring bikes based on the GSX-R1000 sportbikes. As you would assume, the GSX-S’s feature a retuned version of the gixxer’s 999cc inline-four cylinder engine. As usual with naked and touring versions of race track oriented bikes, top end peak horsepower is sacrificed for low end torque and a more rider friendly power band at street legal speeds. The bikes come with traction control, Brembo brakes, KYB adjustable inverted front forks, and Renthal handlebars.

Three versions will be available; the GSX-S1000 is a fairingless naked bike, the GSX-S1000 ABS is the same plus ABS, and the GSX-S1000F ABS adds a fairing and windscreen to increase the bike’s long range comfort by giving the rider some wind protection.

The new Zukes seem to be aimed squarely at some of Kawasaki’s various Ninja models, though pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
