2015 Harley-Davidson Road Glide: It’s BackAfter a brief hiatus, the Road Glide returns to the Harley-Davidson lineup for 2015. The Motor Company announced the new bike just in time for Sturgis, with those in attendance getting the first look. The model, with its distinctive shark nose front fairing, will come in two flavors, the base model and the Road Glide Special. Both the standard and Special are powered by Harley-Davidson’s familiar High-Output Twin Cam 103 engine and sport identical spec sheets with one notable distinction being the Special’s Reflex linked brakes in addition to standard ABS. The Special also has hand adjustable rear suspension. Otherwise, the differences between the two are equipment and aesthetics. While the base Road Glide makes do with the Boom! Box 4.3 infotainment system, the Road Glide Special gets the high-end Boom! Box 6.5GT setup with touchscreen and GPS navigation. The Special also gets different color options and hand- painted pin striping.

The latest Road Glides both boast an updated fairing which retains the look for which the model is known while improving air flow and reducing wind buffeting. Other new features include an updated handlebar and LED lighting.

The 2015 Road Glides will hit dealerships August 26 with an MSRP starting at $20,899 for the base model and $23,199 for the Special.
