2015 Kawasaki ZX-14R 30th Anniversary EditionIf you’re a big fan of team green and want to get your hands on a piece of motorcycling history, then you better act fast! Starting on July 15th (today) buyers can place their orders for a special 30th anniversary version of Kawasaki’s superbike, the ZX-14R. Only 300 of the anniversary models will be made, and they’ll be sold on a first come, first served basis. There are no mechanical differences between the anniversary bike and a standard ZX-14R, instead the special edition is distinguished by an old school paint scheme lifted straight from the 1984 Ninja 900. According to Kawasaki, that’s the bike that started it all and its Firecracker Red and Metallic Graystone paint is brought back to life on the limited run ZX-14R. Gold pinstriping and brake calipers, 30th anniversary badging, and an individual number plate round out the special edition’s detailing. Ordering begins at noon, (EST) today and requires a non-refundable $1,000 deposit. The MSRP is $15,899, which is only $200 more than the 2014 ZX-14R ABS (the Anniversary Edition is also ABS equipped).
