2013 Harley-Davidson Owned by Pope Francis Going Up for AuctionIf you’ve ever wanted to own a Papal motorcycle, then this is probably your only chance. Pope Francis was given the 2013 Dyna Super Glide as part of Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary celebration. It’s not surprising, however, that his Holiness has donated the bike to be auctioned off for charity. On February 6th it will hit the block at Bonhams Paris auction. The sale is expected to raise €12,000 to 15,000, all of which will go to the Roman Catholic charity Caritas Roma for the renovation of their Don Luigi di Liegro hostel and soup kitchen near the Termini railway station in Rome which gives food and shelter to over 1,000 people a day. The Dyna Super Glide bears the Pope Francis’ autograph on its tank and will come with a certificate of conformity from Harley-Davidson.
