Triumphs Updates its Classic Model RangeEven bikes that look old can use a few updates once in a while! Such is the case with Triumph’s ever-popular Classic line-up. Here’s a quick run-down of the 2014 model year changes:

The foundation for the Triumph classics gets new silencers to let the 865cc twin clear its throat a bit better. The decal on the tank is replaced with a proper badge, and the seat gets a redesign for both looks and comfort. The engine block and cylinder head feature a new cooling fin and the oil cooler lines get blacked out. Colors for 2014 are: Phantom Black, Lunar Silver, and Crystal White/Blue Sapphire. Single color price is $7,899 and the two-tone will set you back $8,199.

Bonneville T100:

The T100 receives the same treatment as the base model, but also comes with a chrome grab rail and chain guard. In a nod to the 1964 model, the T100 also gets a Crystal White and Aurum Gold paint scheme as well as Jet Black/Cranberry Red. The T100 can be had for $9,199.

Bonneville T100 Black:

Exactly what it sounds like. $8,899.

Bonneville Special Edition:

The T100 plus Jet Black/Lunar Silver paint that pays homage to the 1982 T140w TSS, the last of the Meriden models. The SE also gets a brushed finish on the clutch, sprocket, alternator, and cam covers. $9,799.

The Thrux also gets new silencers, cooling fins, and black oil cooler lines as well as a color matched fly screen. Color choice is either Phantom Black or Brooklands Green. $9,099.

The “off-road” classic gets a few blacked out components for 2014 to go along with a new seat and clear anodized aluminum bash plate. Matte Pacific Blue and Lunar Silver/Diablo Red are the palette choices. MSRP $9,099.

While these changes aren’t earth shaking, and do basically amount to the famous “sweet new graphics” certain Japanese brands are known for, it’s still nice to see small things being continuously improved.
