Classic and Contemporary Japanese Motorcycles Up for AuctionIf you’ve got a thing for Japanese motorcycles and happen to be spending October in England, you’ll be excited to learn that Dutch entrepreneur and motorcycle collector Michael Buttinger will be offering his collection of nearly 100 Japanese motorcycles for auction at Bonhams Autumn Stafford Sale. The auction will take place on October 20th and the combined collection is expected to go for more than $465,000. Some of the highlights include:

Honda NR750

Honda CR93

Honda CBR1000RR7 (pictured)

Honda Juno

Honda GB500

Honda GL1000

Honda CB450 K0

Kawasaki Z900

Suzuki RE5

Yamaha TA125 Racer

On selling his collection, Mr. Buttinger says: “I have been driven by a passion for Japanese motorcycles—for their design and for the philosophy behind the design—which I find fascinating. It has been a difficult decision to sell these machines, which have formed a large part of my life, but I do not have the time to dedicate to using and riding the newer machines, or to completing the restoration projects, and I feel the time is now right to let other enthusiasts bring these wonderful machines back to life.”
