REV’IT! Horizon Jacket & Pants

REV’IT is an innovative motorcycle apparel company that’s been around since 1995, and strives to make its products work well. REV’IT’s Horizon jacket has a nice stylish yet functional look, and matching Horizon pants are also available.

Horizon jackets feature a new patented “Aquadefence” airflow system that consists of a special panel on each side with a flap that completely covers the large vents, making it waterproof. It’s easy to use, takes only one hand to operate, and works effectively. A zippered vent in the upper back that’s covered by a storm flap lets air escape. Large outer pockets provide ample storage, and there’s a wide fanny pocket on the outside. A full-sleeve quilted liner zips in to keep you warm when temps drop, and can be stuffed into the pocket if you roll it tight enough.

Both the Horizon jacket and pants have reflective material all over to increase nighttime conspicuity, and they also have a full complement of CE-approved protective armor, including in the shoulders, elbows, back, knees, and hips.

Horizon pants have a rugged weatherproof outer shell that’s very abrasion resistant, with a Hydratex breathable membrane. With the quilted cold-weather liner removed, the pants are designed so they can be worn over jeans for casual and commuting use. When the weather turns cold, the full-length quilted liner can be zipped into place.

We found the jacket and pants to work well in cool and warm conditions. For very hot weather you may want to consider some of their mesh gear. The Horizon jacket’s list price is $479.99 for light gray or black, and the Hi-Vis yellow option costs $20 extra. Horizon pants (black only) list at $299.99. Both come in a slew of sizes.
