Bags-Connection City quick-lock tankbag

We have seen just about every type of tankbag pass through our office, and we have used them on tours. Quick-lock tankbags have made life easier for many motorcyclists, including us. The main reason we had not tried them before is we use the same tankbag on multiple bikes, so versatility is key. When we took the Ducati Multistrada 1200 on a Shamrock Tourâ we decided to try out the Bags-Connection City tankbag from Twisted Throttle.

A fit-adjustment kit had to be included for the curved tank, but installation took only about five minutes. Once the gas-cap ring was installed the City simply locked into it. Although some tools were needed the process took less time than some strap-on tankbags we’ve used. The City has an 8-liter capacity, 12 when expanded. The sturdy construction makes it great for a camera, and a rain cover is included. There is a little pocket at the top that can hold a cell phone or an MP3 player, but you won’t be able to fit a map. The City is most effective with a separate GPS mounted to the bike. Taking the tankbag off is a breeze and an included shoulder strap makes it easy to take it with you. Two small outer pockets let you stow important items. When the Multistrada went back to the manufacturer we were left with the City bag. Thankfully it also fits a plethora of bikes from BMW, Buell, Honda, Kawasaki, Triumph, Suzuki and Yamaha.

Price: $174.99 (+$4.99 for fit-adjustment kit)
