Marsee’s 12-Liter Teardrop Tankbag is easily installed via a four-strap setup that features the Quick Release Mono Buckle Mounting System, and when combined with the bag’s non-slip, non-abrasive bottom, attaches quite securely. Though every bike is different, the variable length ties are simple to adjust and mount cleanly to frame points beneath the seat and near the steering head. As the instructions warn, do be very careful not to set the straps where they’ll interfere with the handlebar’s range of motion.

Once the tankbag is in place, its four Quick Release buttons are a breeze to operate, making fill ups and trips into restaurants time-conserving affairs. And should a short hike summon, the included shoulder straps come in quite handy. The top-mounted map compartment sports waterproof zippers, effectively keeping the rain from ruining the paper trail. The main compartment is lined in a waterproof silver material that not only defies the drops, its light color makes it easy to see the dark items often obscured by the dimness of a run-of-the-mill black interior. Constructed from 1680-denier waterproof fabric, this expandable bag offers up to 12 liters of useful storage, and it’s tough enough to handle the touring regimen for many years to come.
