The 2018 Can-Am Spyder Display Spyder riders of the 2018 RT, the F3-T, and F3 Limited models have a new feature-laden instrument display (in dark and chrome color options) to enhance their travels. Another new augmentation is the intuitive joystick mounted near the left handgrip, which ensures riders can keep their hands on the handlebars and stay more focused on the road while easily accessing the display menus.

Larger, brighter, and sharper, with dual 4.3-inch screens, the full-color LCD display provides optimal viewing from any angle (speed and fuel level always visible), and it’s the first in the motorcycling industry to deliver seamless connectivity to third-party smartphone applications (like the vehicle-optimized apps Accuweather, Genius Maps, and REVER) via their proprietary technology, BRP Connect. The system, also set up for Bluetooth technology, gives users direct access to all of the content on their Bluetooth-enabled devices.

“Connectivity is critical to the future of riding, which is why we are laser-focused on enhancing Can-Am Spyder user experience through technology,” said Can-Am’s Senior Vice President Josee Perrault. “The advanced innovation behind the gauge design brings the information world directly to riders, giving them what they need, when they need it.”

The first of the compatible apps currently available for the system (with more to come) include Genius Maps, an advanced GPS-navigation platform requiring no internet connection; Accuweather, real-time weather information; Music, easily sort through music archives for the perfect playlist; and REVER, which is all about connecting to friends on the go, sharing rides, and discovering new roads.
