Lone Star Rally

More than 400,000 motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to head to Galveston Island November 3-6, 2016, for the 15th celebration of the Lone Star Rally.

Since it’s inception in 2001, the rally has grown from a well attended, regional-draw bike event to one of the nation’s biggest and most exciting motorcycle rallies. This year’s event will feature concerts day and night on two sound stages, a variety of juried bike and car shows, a bike rodeo games event, hundreds of vendors, and, new this year. motorcycle beach races presented by Harley-Davidson. The Lone Star Rally Tattoo Expo will also be open all weekend long.

Harley-Davidson will present the Galveston Beach Classic, the first U.S. Beach Oval Motorcycle Race in 60 years. Practice laps will be offered on Friday and the racing happens on Saturday. All bike shows will be stationed at Beach Central Park on Seawall, and Saturday’s activities include an annual charity ride.

A large part of what makes the Lone Star Rally so unique is its setting. Rallygoers take in some of the most spectacular waterfront riding available along the Gulf, coupled with the picturesque architecture and bike-only accessibility of historic downtown Galveston.

The Lone Star Rally manufacturer displays, vendor shopping areas, and entire music schedule are free to the public. Locals are encouraged to come out and enjoy the event’s happenings and help celebrate 15 years of ROAR.
