Rider Training Courses to be Offered at RoadRUNNER’s Touring WeekendNo matter how long you’ve been riding or how many miles you have under your belt, there’s always more to learn about operating a motorcycle. Like any sport, the more you practice the better you’ll be—and good coaching is important too.

The editors and staff of RoadRUNNER Magazine strongly encourage even veteran motorcyclists to challenge themselves by taking a rider training course at least once a year. To that end, two such classes will be offered at RoadRUNNER’s 10th annual Touring Weekend July 16-19th, 2015 in Winston-Salem, NC.

On Thursday, July 16th, before the festivities get rolling with the Touring Weekend, Stayin’ Safe and MotoMark1 will both be conducting two half day training sessions that are certain to vastly improve any rider’s skill set. Stayin’ Safe’s course will focus on street riding, especially on curvy mountain roads. The Stayin’ Safe coaches will communicate with students via radio while experiencing some of the area’s challenging roads.

Mark Brown, head instructor for MotoMark1, will teach riders to handle their bikes like a moto-officer, as he did for many years with the North Carolina Highway Patrol. Participants in the MotoMark1 session will learn to master using their heads and eyes as well as their bike’s controls.
