2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABSThere are certainly many members of our motorcycle touring community who swear by Suzuki’s little wonder-bike, the DL650 V-Strom. For some reason, however, the 650’s big brother, the V-Strom DL1000, has never enjoyed the same level of popularity. With the 2014 version, Suzuki aims to change that. We don’t have all the details on the U.S. spec version yet (we’re expecting that next month) but we do know enough to get excited. The new bike will be both lighter and more powerful than its previous generations with a displacement increase from 996cc to 1037cc and a 22-pound weight loss to 503 (wet). Beyond that, the new zuke gets traction control and ABS, a fully adjustable inverted fork, and a host of other goodies. U.S. pricing and availability, as well as horsepower and torque figures, haven’t been released yet. Click here for full specs and info.
