KTM 1190 Adventure

What a blast to ride! After several years of modest street releases by KTM, the Austrians hit with full force. The 150hp 1190 Adventure leaves little to be desired. The ride-by-wire system allows for specific riding modes to be selected and damping adjustments can also be made on the fly. Continental Attack 2 tires do a perfect job of keeping it glued to the road. During testing I never felt like the tires couldn’t handle the fast curves or the super tight switchbacks.

It features a  4-stroke, 75 degree V-twin engine that cranks out 150hp at 9500 rpm. At about 467 pounds (dry) it is light, which translates into effortless fun through the curves.

We now know that the new Adventure has all all the KTM character and performance, but we’ll have to wait and see how the 1190 will perform on an extended trip fully loaded.

As long as I can grab a handlebar, I'll ride it. Trail riding is becoming my favorite hobby as of late. Hope to meet you on the road.
