Triumph Recall

Oct 25, 2012 View Comments by

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the regulator/rectifier on certain 2006-2009 Triumph Street Triple, Street Triple R, and Daytona 675 motorcycles may overheat preventing them from properly charging the battery. This could lead to the battery becoming completely depleted causing the bike to suddenly stall, which, of course, could be dangerous. Consequently, the NHTSA has issued a recall for the models in question. Triumph is currently in the process of notifying owners affected by the recall and Triumph dealers will inspect the part, and replace it if necessary, free of charge. If you think you may have one of the recalled bikes, it’s a good idea to contact Triumph’s customer service department at (678) 854-2010. Also, for more information on this recall, or to check to see if there are any recalls for your bike (or car for that matter) check out www.safercar.gov.
