Motorcycle World Land Speed Record Shattered

Rocky Robinson of Grass Valley, California, once again holds the world land speed record for motorcycles, clocking a speed of 376.363 miles-per-hour at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Robinson’s record run in the Top 1 Oil/Ack Attack (which included a new exit speed of 394 mph) toppled the previous record of 367.382 mph, set by Chris Carr in the Denis Manning-owned Seven Streamliner in 2009. Manning owns BUB Enterprises, Inc., also based in Grass Valley. The new record must still be ratified by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclismo (FIM) , governing body for land speed racing, but the record appears to be back with Robinson, who set a record of 360.913 in 2008.
