Christian Neuhauser Memorial Ride & Touring Weekend
The Touring Weekend began as a memorial ride for RoadRUNNER magazine’s founder, Christian Neuhauser in 2005. Over the years, the event has continued to grow. We now welcome hundreds of motorcyclists, from across the country and Canada, for this extended weekend of riding, great food, and camaraderie. For any questions send email to the event organizer or call (336) 765-7780.
Due to the event’s location, the number of participants will be limited. Sign up early! Only 3-day weekend passes are available.
What’s included with the 3-day weekend pass?
Entrance to all Touring Weekend events including Alonzo Bodden’s performance, game night, and round table discussions, registration goodie bag, one t-shirt, tour maps, GPS files, dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening, ticket for Saturday night’s door prize drawing, and more.

Most of the lodging rooms, at the Antiochian Village, do not have TVs. Yes, we all have to talk to each other now! However, you can request a TV and/or refrigerator and the staff will provide them on a first-come, first serve basis. There is free Wifi throughout the property.
Here’s What’s New for 2016:
Riding groups will not be assigned ahead of time, as they were at previous Touring Weekend events.
Instead you’ll have a chance to sign up for a tour group on-site or ride on your own. RoadRUNNER editors and volunteers will still hit the road each morning to ride with participants and there will be plenty of opportunities for new people to meet other riders.
There will be four routes instead of just two!
Every participant will receive four tankbag maps, and GPS files, with suggested attractions and lunch stops to make the tours easy to follow. We’ll be riding in the Ridge and Valley province of the Appalachian Mountains, a beautiful area with plenty of twisties, scenic views, and unique attractions.
You’ll have even more chances to socialize and have fun.
At the Antiochian Village Retreat Center, all activities, meals, and lodging will be under one roof. A bar and café will open each evening around four o’clock and there are countless places, on-site, where we can sit together, socialize, and enjoy the gorgeous views.
Comedian and motorcyclist, Alonzo Bodden, winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, will add to the fun as our special guest for the weekend! You won’t want to miss his hilarious performance on Friday at 8:00 p.m.
On Saturday, we’ll host our first ever “Touring Weekend Game Night.” Everyone will also have the chance to win prizes from our event sponsors.
We’re excited to host the Touring Weekend at a new location with new dates and an exciting new format. Register today to join us in 2016!
