When anyone asks what I do for a living, my answer is always the same: I make things pretty. I have a passion for design and have made a living making things beautiful. I’ve worked in a variety of fields, but I always seem to find my way back to publication design. In February 2011, the RoadRUNNER team asked me to help give the magazine a fresh, clean look, and I was thrilled to be able to collaborate with so many creative people. I love working with the amazing photography and get excited every time a new article comes to life on my screen.
Outside of my artistic endeavors, I have a passion for the environment, and I continue to take small steps to live a healthier, greener, and more eco-friendly lifestyle. I love to travel with my husband; my one experience on a motorcycle tour was riding up a mountain off the coast in Croatia. What an amazing trip! I met my talented husband while swing dancing back in Chicago, and we competed for years while I taught ballroom dancing on the side. I have two beautiful daughters and two fluffy chow chows that keep me busy. When I have free time (what’s that?) I try to get outdoors to rock climb, camp, and kayak—and I am determined to find my way back to a paint brush and canvas someday!
