Though I was born in Texas, I’ve lived most of my life in the North Carolina. From the time I was little I’ve been interested in anything with a motor: cars, planes, and, of course, motorcycles. However, my interest in motorcycles didn’t become any more than that until about halfway through college. One day my brother called me and asked, “do you want to buy a running motorcycle for $400?” There is really only one answer to such a question, so $400 later I was the proud owner of a 1975 Honda CB750. It didn’t take long for me to fall completely in love with the experience of motorcycling. The view, the feeling, and the pure joy of cracking the throttle down a wide-open road, I knew I’d found something special. After graduating from Appalachian State University, I went to work for a non-profit ministry and started a wedding photography business. Along the way, I met, fell in love with, and married my wife. Though I loved working for the non-profit, my wife and I both felt the urge to move to Winston-Salem, NC. So after we found out we were having a baby, we decided to just go for it! I started looking for jobs in the area and was lucky enough to find an opening at RoadRUNNER. The opportunity to combine my love for motorcycling and writing with my background in photography was almost too good to be true!
In the future I hope you’ll find me exploring the beautiful coasts and mountains of North Carolina on my red Suzuki SV650.
