Product Review: Joe Rocket Resistor Mesh Jacket and Phoenix Ion Pants

The Resistor Mesh Jacket is made of high-tech materials including Hitena and RockTex 600, with a FreeAir mesh hybrid outer shell, allowing for abrasion resistance and cooling. Two roomy external pockets and one inside provide plenty of space for storage of small items, with a zip closure for security. A zip-in sleeveless vest-type liner somewhat broadens the temperature range. There’s CE-approved armor in the shoulders and elbows and a removable back pad. The jacket is comfortable, fits well, with good airflow. Joe Rocket is known for selling useful, functional motorcycle gear without busting budgets. This one won’t leave you disappointed. My only gripe is too many large logos.

Joe Rocket Phoenix Ion Pants
The new Phoenix Ion Pants allow plenty of airflow for warm weather riding and can be worn as pants or overpants, with protective armor at the knees and hips. The leg zippers go all the way up, which makes it possible to fit the pants over boots. The zippers are on the inside of the legs and are covered by protective flaps. Melt-resistant material is on the lower leg area to protect from hot exhaust pipes.

Two large front pockets have room for keys, wallet, phone, and change, with zippers to secure them. The waist adjusters work well and allow you to fine-tune the pants to your exact size. There’s also a Velcro adjustment on the legs to fit snugly around your boots. The knee armor pockets also have Velcro, which allows you to adjust them to different heights. These pants look good, are nicely made, and fit and function well. Choose the silver if you live in a hot, sunny climate.
