Due to the recent excitement around HJC’s initial Star Wars branded motorcycle helmet launch, the company has announced a new helmet to the lineup, the IS-5 Luke Skywalker X-Wing.

Based on Luke’s “Red Five” fighter helmet, HJC’s new lid captures the classic character through great attention to detail, right down to the marks of distress and amber sunshield.  The Luke Skywalker graphic will appear on HJC’s IS-5 helmet in North America (DOT approved) and FG-70’s in Europe (ECE approved). Both are retro-style, open-face helmets, with drop-down sunshields.

HJC SkywalkerThis functional helmet will appeal to both motorcyclists and Star Wars collectors. As a classic, the IS-5 Luke Skywalker X-Wing helmet will be a part of Star Wars’ 40th Anniversary celebration, equipped with special celebration tags.

Even better, 10 of the helmets will be signed by Mark Hamill himself, and sold online to benefit UNIFEF and Starlight Children’s Foundation, on behalf of Star Wars: Force for Change.

The official, standard product release date and price will be announced in the coming weeks. For more information, or to see HJC’s other Star Wars helmets, visit www.hjchelmets.com/starwars.
