The 76th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is just days away! Whether you’re already there or packing up your gear for the ride, take a look at some of the events that will be happening during the rally. And don’t forget to stop by the many locations where we’ll be giving away FREE maps!


Indian Motorcycle

Indian Motorcycle Factory Display on Lazelle St.
Saturday, August 6 – Saturday, August 129 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily

Explore the entire 2017 Indian Motorcycle lineup, including the all-new Indian FTR750, designed for Indian’s historic return to AMA Pro Flat Track. “Wrecking crew” legends Bobby Hill and Bill Tuman will be on hand, too.

Factory Demo Rides, 2100 Whitewood Service Road
Saturday, August 6 – Saturday, August 12, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily

New 2017 motorcycles will be ready to demo ride all week. Demo ride availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Shuttles to demo rides will be available at Lazelle Street and Indian Motorcycle of Sturgis.

Celebrate American Craftsmanship with Jack Daniel’s and Red Wing Shoes (Indian Motorcycle Factory Display on Lazelle St.)
Saturday, August 6 – Saturday, August 129 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily

Jack Daniel’s will offer signature cocktails, and Red Wing Shoes will showcase the new limited edition collection for Indian.

“Veterans Charity Ride to Sturgis” Welcome Event
Sunday, August 6, 2:30 p.m., Lazelle St. Display

Help welcome riders of the Veterans Charity Ride to Sturgis as they conclude their nine-day journey on Indian motorcycles and Champion trikes while riding from Los Angeles to Sturgis.

Indian FTR750 AMA Flat Track Racebike Reveal
Sunday, August 7, Between Concert Sets, Buffalo Chip

Watch Indian unveil the all-new FTR750, a purpose-built flat track bike sporting a proprietary liquid-cooled 750cc four-valve V-Twin competition engine engineered into a specially built chassis.

Legends Charity Ride
Monday, August 8, 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Deadwood and Buffalo Chip

The Legends Ride kicks off the rally with a live custom motorcycle auction n Deadwood’s historic Main Street. Following the auction, riders will enjoy a self-guided, scenic ride alongside hundreds of fellow Legends Riders through the beautiful Black Hills. Carey Hart “Good Ride”
Sunday, August 7, at Indian Motorcycle Sturgis, 10 a.m.

The kick-off of Sturgis’ first annual Good Ride led by Carey Hart, freestyle motocross legend. Proceeds from this ride will go to Sturgis’ Brown High School. Space is limited to the first 125 riders. Register today at www.goodriderally.com.

“Baddest Bagger Contest”
Tuesday, August 9, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Full Throttle Saloon

A 2017 Indian Chieftain will be awarded to the winner of the contest. All are invited on Thursday, August 11 to Indian Motorcycle of Sturgis for an after-party with contest winners, participants,and their “baddest baggers.”

RSD Super Hooligan at the Buffalo Chip’s Moto Stampede
Wednesday, August 10, 4 p.m., Buffalo Chip

Indian Motorcycle and Roland Sands’ Super Hooligan Racing will turn Buffalo Chip into a racetrack with SuperHooligan Indian Scout Sixty racers for an epic race with Carey Hart. Following the excitement, national recording acts Reverend Horton Heat and 5 Finger Death Punch will take the main stage.

Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG) and Owner Events
Saturday, August 7 – Sunday, August 14

On Sunday, August 7, owners are encouraged to meet at Spearfish Canyon Lodge at 9 a.m. and will ride to Deadwood at 10:30 a.m. where they will be the first to meet and cheer on the riders from the Veterans Charity Ride to Sturgis. After lunch at the Pasta Corral, they will lead the Veteran’s Charity Ride into Sturgis. Owners can sign up here. On Friday, August 12, receive a complimentary “Rub and Buff” bike wash at Polaris Industries’ Spearfish Facility while meeting the local Indian Motorcycle employees. Owners can sign up here.

 

Can-Am

Military-themed Can-Am Spyder F3 Limited Presentation
Tuesday, August 9, 10 a.m., Can-Am display on the SE corner of 4th & Main
On Tuesday, Can-Am will present a custom military-themed Can-Am Spyder F3 Limited to the Road Warrior Foundation. The Spyder will be auctioned off later in the fall to raise funds and support their mission of providing adventures for veterans. Will last 15 minutes.
