New Automatic Transmission Honda Trike ConversionsThree Wheels and No Shifting Required –

For riders looking for the ultimate simple ride, Yelvington Designs has just released trike conversion kits for a couple of Honda’s automatic transmission equipped machines—the Honda CTX700 motorcycle and Silver Wing scooter. The Yelvington 3.0 Conversion Assembly creates a stable two-wheeled rear end for the Hondas, which utilizes each bikes auto transmission (DCT for the CTX and CVT for the Silver Wing). The result is a machine that’s ideal for riders looking for the easiest entry in to riding or those who have a disability that prevents them from balancing and/or shifting.

The Conversion Assembly includes a unitary live rear axel, a spider gear differential, dual piston rear caliper, and more. The kits also retain the stock bike’s ABS brakes and overall style. Yelvington also offers kits for Harley-Davidsons. According to Yelvington, the conversion is a relatively simple process that can be reversed to bring the bike back to a two-wheeler. The trike kits are made in the USA.

What’s your take on automatic transmission motorcycles and trikes? Would you ever own one?
