If you are the kind of person that always has a camera on their packing list, you may want to consider this hands-on introduction to the world of motorcycle photography exclusive to the 2015 Touring Weekend. The class will be lead by longtime RoadRUNNER photojournalist and author of the eBook Ten Tips: Motorcycle Travel Photos, John Flores. John will talk about photography styles—what he looks for in a shot, how he composes an image, and his favorite gear and gadgets.

The first half of the day will be spent photographing historical Winston-Salem lanphotography_old salemdmarks while following the path of the town’s very first settlers, the Moravians. After a lunch with plenty of local fare and traditional Moravian cuisine, you’ll leave Winston-Salem for a while to let loose on some of the area’s scenic back roads and eventually meet the rest of the group in Clemmons for dinner at the Village Inn. Moto Photos 101 is only available to registered Touring Weekend participants for $75 on Friday, July 17 & Saturday July 18. Group size is limited to 12 bikes per class. Both riders and passengers must sign up online. Bringing your own camera is not required, but it is recommended! Lunch will be provided at no additional cost and you’ll also receive a complimentary download of John’s book, Ten Tips: Motorcycle Travel Photos.
