2015 BMW Model UpdatesBMW Motorrad recently released an overview of the updates to its 2015 lineup. The first few entries aren’t all that interesting with the F 700 GS, F 800 GS, F 800 GS Adventure, and F 800 GT all getting nothing more than new paint colors. Starting with the R 1200 GS, though, things get a bit more intriguing. BMW’s flagship enduro will receive the same heavier crankshaft as the R 1200 GS Adventure to smooth out power delivery and bring back some more of the tractor like low speed pulling power the previous air/oil cooled iteration was famous for. In addition the GS will now be available with optional Keyless Ride, which is an electronic key fob that allows you to start the bike as long as the fob is in your pocket. Other 2015 choices include Shift Assistant Pro, which enables clutch-less shifting, and, of course, new paint colors.

The GS’s Adventure model will also offer Keyless Ride and Shift Assistant Pro as well as optional lowered suspension and the seat off the standard GS to further reduce seat height.

Moving on to the touring machines, the R 1200 RT also gets the Keyless Ride and Shift Assistant Pro options (and new colors). The K 1600 GT and GTL will receive Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) as standard, as well as new instrumentation and paint colors. The flagship touring machines also add the following options, Keyless Ride, Shift Assistant Pro, Hill Start Control, and daytime running lights.

The last bit of BMW’s 2015 model news is the announcement of a special version of the K 1300 S called the Motorsport. In addition to unique colors, the Motorsport will come from the factory with HP wheels, HP footrests, tinted windshield, and Akrapovic silencer.
