Dainese Teren D-Dry Jacket & PantsThe Dainese Teren D-Dry Jacket and Pants is a true all-season, all weather two-piece riding suit. A thermal liner provides warmth for cold weather and the D-Dry liner layers-in extra warmth and protection from rain and wind. The D-Dry and thermal liners can be installed and removed either together or separately to customize your weather protection. One or both liners can be stored in the jacket’s large zippered back pocket. When the weather turns hot, the jacket and pants have several innovative vent panels that help funnel large volumes of fresh air inside. The flaps covering the mesh panels on the front of the jacket and pants, and the flap over the jacket’s large rear mesh panel, all snap in place to maintain a wide-open position and maximum airflow.

Crash protection is also at a high level on the Teren suit, something that is extremely important to me. The jacket’s biometrically formed shoulders contain a plastic liner, which works in conjunction with removable body armor to give a double layer of impact protection. The forearms and elbows are also protected by removable armor and the back of the jacket has a large pocket for installing a back protector. The pants are equipped with composite protectors on the knees and Pro Shape soft sides. The pants also have reflective inserts and can be mated to the jacket with a 360-degree zipper. In all, I feel confident that the Teren suit offers first class defense in a crash.

Dainese products are known for their comfort and styling and this two-piece riding suit does not disappoint in either department. The Teren jacket is equipped with adjustment straps on the biceps, neck, wrists, bottom, and waist, which allowed me to dial in a fit that’s both comfortable and that doesn’t balloon out in the wind. Other nice features in the jacket include Cordura elasticated fabric inserts, clear pockets in the forearms for stashing things like IDs, elastic mesh pockets on the side for carrying larger items, and two zippered waterproof pockets. In the pants department, removable suspenders, elasticated fabric, waist adjustments, and leg bottom adjustments help maintain a snug, comfortable fit here too.

Although the Dainese D-Dry Jacket and Pants are somewhat pricey, you do get attractive styling, excellent crash protection, utility, and comfort in exchange for your hard earned cash. And this is one riding suit that actually can be worn year-round.
